Origins and Evolution of the Heritage Buildings of Pinjarra

Pinjarra is a historic town established (c1834). The township is the central hub of the Shire of Murray and boasts many significant heritage sites such as Edenvale, which was the grand home of former WA Premier Sir Ross McLarty.

Our latest exhibition examines the development of Pinjarra through photos of the many buildings that were established as the town grew from a simple farming settlement to become the centre of commerce, government and education in the region.

A large variety of community services and businesses now reside in Pinjarra making the town a thriving community and an iconic attraction for visitors.

Visit us and enjoy the history of Pinjarra through stories and photos. We look forward to seeing you there.

Location: The Old Schoolmaster’s House, Henry Street, Edenvale Precinct, Pinjarra, Western Australia.

The Society greatfully acknowledges the support of MZI Resources towards this exhibition.
