MURRAY DISTRICTS HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Located at the Old Schoolmaster's House, Edenvale Heritage Precinct, Pinjarra.
Opening hours from 11am to 3pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Sunday, 16th July – a memorable and interesting day was hosted by the Members of the Australian Garden History Society (WA Branch) and their chairman John Viska.
The group met at Edenvale tea rooms then (in convoy)
- visited the historic grounds / gardens of Creaton in Paterson Road,
- travelled to Old Blythewood and enjoyed a picnic lunch with host Vince Taylor
- travelled to Pinjarrah Park to discover the extensive grounds and former gardens and orchards.
The day was totally enjoyed by all.

The 2017 Annual General Meeting of the Murray Districts Historical Society will be held at the Murray Library Pinjarra. Guest Speaker, Dr Fred Lovegrove, will speak to members and visitors on “The Life and (Pinjarra) Times of Dr Charles Lovegrove”.

Guest Speaker Mr Adrian Kelly will speak on the “Life and Death of James Henry Shaw” .Mr Shaw was murdered in North Yunderup in 1908.
- DECEMBER – Friday 8th December 2017 – 2.30pm “High Tea” Christmas Celebration

Yes, it is time to plan ahead for the Murray Districts Historical Society “Christmas Function” to be held @ Old Blythewood, Pinjarra under the shade of the beautiful Jacaranda trees.
